Frequently Asked Questions

You got questions, we got answers. Eh-sy.

What is an EnerGuide audit?

An EnerGuide audit is a professional home energy assessment performed by a certified energy advisor. They spend a couple hours poking around your attic, testing your furnace, and blower-door-testing your home for air leaks. The result is a detailed report (the EnerGuide label) that tells you exactly how energy-efficient your home is — and what upgrades will save you the most money.

Many federal and provincial rebate programs require an EnerGuide audit before and after upgrades. Don’t worry — our White-Glove plan books it all for you.

Can I stack rebates?

Short answer: yes, but carefully. Many programs allow stacking — for example, Ontario’s Home Renovation Savings lets you combine a heat pump (up to $7,500–$12,000) with an insulation bundle (up to $7,700), and Nova Scotia’s Moderate Income Rebate stacks a $5,000 top-up on its $5,000 heat-pump rebate. Income-qualified? CGHAP covers whole retrofits at no cost — no stacking required.

The catch: some programs prohibit stacking for the same upgrade, or cap total incentives. Our Discovery Report and Full-Service plans are built exactly for this — we identify every stackable combination and flag conflicts so you never lose a dollar.

How long does it take?

Depends on the path you choose:

  • Discovery Report: 48 hours from the moment you hit submit.
  • Full-Service Navigation: 2–4 weeks from sign-up to all applications submitted (depends on how quickly you get your audit done).
  • White-Glove PM: 3–6 months from audit to rebate cheque in your hand — upgrade timelines vary by contractor availability and permit speed.

We send you a status update every step of the way. No ghosting, eh.
